CNN Travel Producer: We are in Noryangjin, which is the oldest and biggest 1fish market in Seoul. 2Think of it as like a giant mall, but the only thing you can buy is live fish and 3shellfish.

CNN Travel Producer: Noryangjin 5originally was opened in 1927, but it moved to this location in the 1970s, which is 6where it's been ever since.

CNN Travel Producer: Okay, it's 9chewier than I expected. A couple things that you should know if you come here. First of all, all the fish is alive. So that means you can pick it out and then take it upstairs and have someone cook it right there so that you can eat it. It's about 10as fresh as it gets. You're also totally welcome to 11haggle. In fact, they kind of expect it.

Another important thing if you visit, make sure that you wear good 12footwear. The floors are wet and I'm an 13idiot who showed up in ballet 14flats. So you want to 15take a cue from all the other people who are here? Try a pair of tennis shoes or some rain boots.
