A Superhero With A Genius Plan To Keep The Streets Clean

My name is Alex Beigno and I am Atlanta Magnet Man. I love hearing that very 1distinct sound that it makes every time I pick up something. My 2initial goal was to clean up my 3route to work and when I started doing this I had no idea just how much more is out there that I never saw before. I put a lot of research into it, a lot of trial and error trying to 4figure out what would be the best way.
The goal is to get the magnets as close to the ground as possible and the easiest way was on a bicycle trailer. So I put these rows in this 5configuration to make it easier to go over 6bumps and then I just kept going with it and see well how much can I pick up and within eight weeks I went 522 miles and 7collected 410 pounds.

Never 8ceases to 9amaze me every single time I lift this up just how much I've picked up. After I made the Instagram account, people will message me and ask me to do areas that are 10particularly bad. You know, it makes me realize just how important it is to get this out to as many people as I possibly can. Any bit of free time I have, I 11dedicate to doing this. And my goal is to try to get as many other people interested in pulling these behind their bicycles, and they can do the same thing in their 12neighborhood.

제 이름은 알렉스 베이그노이고 애틀랜타 마그넷맨입니다. 저는 무언가를 집어 들 때마다 나는 그 독특한 소리를 듣는 것을 좋아합니다. 제 처음 목표는 출근길을 깨끗하게 하는 것이었어요. 이 일을 시작했을 때만 해도 전에는 보지 못했던 것(길가의 쓰레기)들이 얼마나 많은지 몰랐어요. (거리를 깨끗하게 하기 위해서) 어떤 것이 가장 좋은 방법인지 알아내기 위해 많은 연구와 시행착오를 겪었죠.
목표는 자석을 최대한 지면에 가까이 붙이는 것이었고, 가장 쉬운 방법은 자전거 트레일러를 이용하는 것이었습니다. 그래서 장애물을 넘기 쉽도록 줄을 이 모양으로 배치했어요. 그리고는 계속 진행하면서 얼마나 많은 쓰레기를 들어 올릴 수 있는지 확인했는데 8주 만에 522마일을 이동했고 410파운드를 모았습니다.
“정말 많은 양이네요. 와우.”
이것을 들어 올릴 때마다 제가 얼마나 많은 양의 쓰레기(자석)를 수집했는지 매번 놀라워요. 인스타그램 계정을 만든 후 사람들이 저에게 메시지를 보내서 특히 그들 지역의 더러운 부분을 청소해 달라고 요청하곤 합니다. 가능한 한 많은 사람들에게 (이 심각성에 대해) 알리는 것이 얼마나 중요한지 깨닫게 되죠. 시간적 여유가 있을 때마다 이 일에 전념하고 있습니다. 그리고 제 목표는 더 많은 사람들이 자전거를 끄는 데(자신의 이웃을 깨끗이 돌보는 것에) 관심을 갖게 하고, 그들도 (저와) 같은 일을 할 수 있도록 하는 것입니다.
