"This is every 1historian's dream that you would be able to open a time capsule like this and that actually survived. What a wonderful thing that is that tells stories from the past."

History is made at the World War I Museum and Memorial 2by way of adding more history. 3Relics from 1924 are now 4unveiled to the public after being 5buried into the walls of the tower when it was being 6constructed. 

"They wanted generations to come to remember them and remember what was 7sacrificed for the 8cause of 9democracy that the Americans went to serve." 

'Parade 2,000, the American 10Legion 60,000 strong..."

The staff had already opened the capsule seeing what was inside. But Wednesday morning, we all 11got a chance to see what those 100 years ago wanted to keep a secret. 

"I think that they wanted to know how hard it was back then." 

"The seeds are very unexpecting. I really can't wait what we're going to do with them. Maybe we'll plant them and it will come out to be something beautiful." 

And to continue making history, the museum and memorial staff will be 12compiling items to put into another capsule that will be opened 100 years from now. 

"We really want the Kansas City community to be 13involved so if you go to our website, you can give suggestions, the types of things that are important to you, to our community, to put in that time capsule for people 100 years from now."
