Foiled Terror Plot Halts Taylor Swift Concerts

A trio of concerts by 1megastar Taylor Swift set to 2take place in Austria this weekend were 3cancelled after Austrian authorities 4uncoveredwhat they called an ISIS-inspired terror plot 5aimed at the shows.
The 6suspects: all teenagers. The main suspect, just 19, was arrested and his home searched Wednesday morning in the eastern town of Ternitz.
"The 19-year-old Austrian guy that is very high 7radicalized and who 8pledged 9allegiance for ISIS will do an attack during three of the current sets. We found a lot of 10precursors for building 11explosives and we also found explosive devices that he could use during the attack."
One suspect worked to gain entry to the concert as an employee for a company at the stadium. He was already nearby when he was arrested. Unfortunately, attacks at concerts aren't new. There have been several over the last few years.
"These are symbolic targets for the Islamic State. And as tension rises in the Middle East, I think we're going to see more of this."
Those who traveled in for the show and in some cases spent thousands of dollars to attend Swift's 12record-breaking Eras Tour are disappointed but grateful.
"What could have happened and what could have been the end result wasn't going to be a night of fun, but a night of absolute terror and just pure 13distress for families."
