He was returned to the U.S. last month to be 4indicted.
"Our government presented El Salvador with an 5arrest warrant, and they agreed to return him to our country."
Abrego Garcia was wrongly 6deported to a 7notorious El Salvador prison in mid-March.
"All across the country, we continue to witness the 8inhumane actions towards Kilmar and all of the other Kilmars who continue to be 9abducted and disappeared by this administration."
Now, Abrego Garcia faces the potential of being deported again.
The Trump administration has said it will deport him before his trial if he's 10released from criminal 11custody.
But a senior Immigration and Customs Enforcement official 12testified Thursday that the agency has not yet decided where Abrego Garcia would be deported if released.
He may have protection from being deported to El Salvador again, but his legal team says they are 13prepping for the possibility of his removal to an unfamiliar country.
"It's hard to think about being in that position if you 14get dumped in a country where you used to have no contacts, have no language skills."
15Criminal charges against Abrego Garcia 16allege he and others, transported undocumented migrants over 100 times.
